Are you struggling to find answers to your questions about what foods and drinks are best for you to reach your weight loss goals? Do you feel unable to find support that you can trust about eating well and keeping active? If you would like to learn more about how to lose weight the healthy way and to find support and ideas to help you make lasting changes to your eating habits, then look no further, you are in the right place.

This free, brand new app is brought to you by qualified dietitians working in NHS Wales. We’ve worked alongside other professionals and members of the public to develop the 8 week, Foodwise for Life structured healthy lifestyle programme. This app accompanies the programme and can be accessed alone, or it can be used in conjunction with the group sessions in areas where the programme is being delivered.

The Foodwise for Life app is designed to provide you with plenty of tips and ideas to help you make lifestyle changes that are right for you. It includes topics such as foods to enjoy, portion sizes, benefits of regular physical activity, how to read food labels, tips for meal planning and ways to adapt recipe to make them healthier.

There are sections for; setting goals to keep you on track, recording your weight to see your progress, keeping a food and physical activity diary to monitor the changes you’re making and where to find other sources of relevant information and support.

Once you get started you’ll find an array of fun games and activities to further your food knowledge and skills such as quizzes, interactive games, guided activities and video clips to access at your own pace.
